Skilled Legacy ("Skilled Legacy," "we," "us," or "our") is an M&A advisory firm headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. We connect owners of skilled-trades and home-service businesses with private equity buyers and other qualified investors. What we collect
Information you give us directly
When you submit our contact form, we collect:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address
If you call us, email us, or send us additional information during our conversations, we'll collect that too. This may include details about your business such as revenue, location, industry, ownership structure, and your goals for a potential transaction.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, our hosting provider (Netlify) automatically logs basic technical data: your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and the time of your visit. We use this to keep the site running and to prevent abuse.
Information from third parties
Our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to filter out bots. Google may collect technical information about your device when you submit the form. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
How we use your information
We use the information you give us to:
- Contact you about your inquiry, usually within one business day
- Have confidential conversations about your business and your goals
- Assess potential fit with our network of qualified buyers
- Send you follow-up communications related to your inquiry
- Comply with legal obligations
How we share your information
Outside of that promise, we share information only with:
- Service providers who help us run our business: our website host (Netlify), our email service (Mailgun), and Google reCAPTCHA. These providers have access only to the information they need to perform their services and are contractually obligated to protect it.
- Buyers and investors only after you have authorized the introduction, and only under a signed non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
- Legal compliance: if required by subpoena, court order, or other valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Skilled Legacy or others.
We do not sell your personal information. Ever.
Cookies and tracking
Our site uses minimal cookies. Netlify and Google reCAPTCHA may set technical cookies necessary for the site and the contact form to function. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or sell tracking data.
How long we keep your information
We retain the information you submit for as long as it's reasonably needed to support our relationship with you, fulfill a transaction we're working on together, or comply with legal obligations. If you'd like us to delete your information, contact us at the email below and we'll do so within a reasonable timeframe, subject to any legal retention requirements.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Ask us to delete your information
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time

Children
Our services are for adults running businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe we've received information from a minor, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the site or communicated directly if we have your email on file.
